On Sunday, a statement was made by the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan that the Armed Forces of Armenia opened fire on positions in the territory of Azerbaijan. According to official data, as a result of the attack that occurred in the southern state, one Azerbaijani serviceman was injured. The wounded was immediately evacuated for qualified medical assistance. Supporting its position in defense of the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, a representative of the country's military department emphasized that such actions from the Armenian side contradict the established ceasefire and international law. "We address international organizations with a request to assess the destabilizing actions of Armenia and to protect peace in the region" - the Azerbaijani representative stated in the announcement of the Ministry of Defense.
