Global Holding Concludes Strategic Visit to Azerbaijan

The Global Holding Company, specializing in building dynamic value networks and promoting sustainable growth, has concluded a strategic visit to Azerbaijan. The delegation was led by His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Hamadan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and included the company's CEO, Saeed Bashir Shaib. During the visit, the delegation met with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, and the Minister of Economy, Mikail Jabbarov, to discuss expanding cooperation in promising growth sectors and supporting long-term strategic partnerships. His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Hamadan bin Zayed Al Nahyan stated: "Azerbaijan is a vital strategic partner for the United Arab Emirates, and our visit reflects a shared commitment to building long-term cooperative relations that cover vital sectors and contribute to shaping the future for generations to come. We look forward to expanding partnerships that achieve sustainable economic and social impact." In turn, the CEO of the Global Holding Company, Saeed Bashir Shaib, said: "Our discussions in Baku reinforced our confidence in Azerbaijan's strong growth trajectory and the promising opportunities in sectors such as mining, digital transformation in the energy sector, and sports development." He added: "The Global Holding Company and its subsidiaries are committed to providing advanced capabilities, innovative technologies, and sustainable investment frameworks that support the achievement of Azerbaijan's national vision." The delegation also included the CEOs of several of the Global Holding Company's subsidiaries: the CEO of 'International Resources Holding', Ali Al-Rashidi; the CEO of 'Sirius International Holding', Ajay Bhatia; and the CEO of 'Palmz Sports', Fouad Darwish. The discussions focused on strengthening economic ties, exploring joint investment opportunities, and expanding cooperation across priority sectors. 'International Resources Holding' held meetings with various Azerbaijani ministries and government bodies to discuss opportunities for developing large-scale mining projects, including those related to strategic minerals necessary for enhancing global supply chains. Meanwhile, 'Sirius' solidified its partnership with Azerbaijani government entities through a $480 million smart gas network project, implemented by 'Isia Soft' in cooperation with the state oil company 'SOCAR'. The project involves deploying advanced network management systems powered by AI, installing smart meters, and developing a sophisticated digital infrastructure. 'Sirius' also explored additional cooperation opportunities in the digital transformation of the electricity and water sectors, and in developing smart grid infrastructure, supporting the energy transition in Azerbaijan. In turn, 'Palmz Sports', the official sponsor and name bearer of 'Neftchi' football club, continues to strengthen its partnership with Azerbaijan. Within one year, the company has successfully established a strong presence in the Azerbaijani market, reflecting the success of its integrated business model in sports development.
